Albany S2 Cells Concrete Repair & Coatings
Project Scope
Central Systems has been awarded the Albany S2 Cells concrete repair and coatings contract to undertake extensive concrete repair to the 10,000T grain storage silos located at CBH's Albany Port Facility. The scope of works includes hydro-demolition, reinforcing steel repair/preparation, guncrete reinstatement and the application of protective coatings to more than 10,000m2 of surface across the walls of the ten concrete silos.
Particular attention has been applied to the safety work systems on site as the 35m high structures pose a potential working at heights hazard. To protect the environment, Central Systems has deployed a full containment system to manage all demolition waste including run-off water from the hydro-demolition.
